Winter & the change in Season the leaves falling from the trees...It reminded me of my thoughts & concerns 4 our planet & all it's amazing forms of life in & out of the water... Anyway I think how sad it would be if a child of the future could never experience the simplicity of holding a leaf in their hands...
I worry 4 our future generations if we don't stop & think about our behavour & attidude towards Mother Earth our home.
There was an 'Earth Charter Day in Minneapolis this year - dozens of community activist groups with many youth, elders & native Americans among the 220 participants. A local TV show aired an hourlong EC. special 8 times during the week prior 2 the summit, including the Film ; 'A Quiet Revolution', produced by the Earth Council & Sponsored by the S.G.I "Why is the Earth Charter important they asked", - 4 year old Haile Augustine said "Because people live on the earth".
Experiencing art helps us rediscover our true humanity & return 2 the
elemental life where we are all on a footing of equality, where no barriers exist. In a very real sence art & literature are tools 4 peace because the knowledge & experience gained from appreciating & sharing them cultivate non-violence, compassion, trust, solidarity, beauty & breadth of mind & intensified awareness of the natures & needs of all humanity.
Beauty of nature, Eugene was it raining while u were out? or did u wait till the rain stopped? I ask as when it starts 2 rain,I always look up so as 2 feel the rain upon my face, & everything is... u get the whole place 2 yourself natures peaceful & the towns are quite... Now I can hear...
Hoping 4 snow this coming 24th...
